# Governance

#### Principles

SEED governance is built on three principles:

* Alignment – decisions should support the long term health of the ecosystem
* Clarity – processes should be simple enough for active participants to use
* Progress – governance should enable iteration, not block it

#### Scope

SEED stakers participate in governance on topics such as:

* Project selection frameworks and criteria
* High level parameters for revenue distribution within the SEED product line
* Adjustments to staking multipliers or access tier structures
* Introduction of new product initiatives under the SEED umbrella
Operational decisions and day to day execution remain with the SEED and Pineapple teams. Governance focuses on direction, standards, and high level economics, not micro management.

#### Process

A typical governance flow:

1. Proposal drafted by the SEED team or community members
2. Review period with open discussion
3. Snapshot style vote by eligible SEED stakers
4. Implementation by the SEED and Pineapple teams, with clear communication of outcomes
Over time, governance tooling may evolve to support more granular inputs and more automated execution.
